Resiliency in Space Autonomy: a Review

Abstract Purpose of Review: The article provides an extensive overview on the resilient autonomy advances made across various missions, orbital or deep-space, that captures current research approaches while investigating possible future direction resiliency in space autonomy. Recent Findings: In recent years, need for several automated operations applications has been rising, ranges from following: spacecraft proximity operations, navigation and some station keeping applications, entry, decent landing, planetary surface exploration, etc. Also, with rise miniaturization concepts spacecraft, advanced missions multiple platforms introduce more complex behaviours interactions within agents, which drives higher levels accommodating collaborative behaviour coupled robustness to counter unforeseen uncertainties. This collective is now referred as As are getting complex, example where a platform physically interacts non-cooperative objects (debris) bodies hostile, unpredictable, extreme environments, there rising solutions. Summary Resilience its key attributes robustness, redundancy resourcefulness will lead toward new enhanced mission paradigms missions.
